Cafe Lalo on the Upper West Side on W 83rd Street. My sister highly recommended this place...it was definitely a great spot. I got off the train on 72nd and walked the rest of the way. By the time I got there I was famished and tired. Luckily, they had a huge case of desserts that greeted me as I walked in. However, I refrained from getting anything sweet, but ended up ordering a delicious bowl of pumpkin soup and a bowl of fruit. And as I was eating it I thought...that's so Californian. I should've ordered a canolli instead. I guess, you can take the girl out of California, but you can't take California out of the girl. BTW...thanks Cindy for the hot tip! Miss you! xoxox
