I did it! I actually did it and will soon have a Manhattan zip code. This morning my cousin and his family went to see the Tribeca apt. with me and we all felt so great about the place and my 3 new roommates. As we walked into the space the loft was flooded with light coming into the open living room/kitchen area. It looked and felt so cozy and as I walked into what will soon be my new room, even that didn't feel so bad to me all of a sudden. I think having seen so many apts. this week and meeting so many different potential roommates, it really dawned on me how important the roommate factor was and these 3 people, were absolutely lovely. Plus, this apt. was actually the nicest one I've seen since being here. It's totally secure from the moment you walk in. The telecom has a camera and in order to use the elevator, you have to have an elevator key, plus, 2 of my room mates had lived there for 3 years and not once have they seen a roach or rodent. That in itself made the biggest difference because none of the other places could say that with any confidence. So not only will I have my own bathroom, there is a washer and dryer inside the apt., fully modern kitchen, and as for location, it is less then a block from all the major subway lines and a block away from Whole Foods. When I told my soon to be new roommates about my decision to commit, they all yelled YAY! and gave me a hug and immediately gave me the keys. They said that if I needed any help with furniture, etc, they would be more then happy to help me get set up. It was totally awesome and just felt right. So one major thing I can now cross off my list, all I need next is a J.O.B. Hopefully that will happen just as quickly as this did...boy, now I finally understand the term as quick as a NY minute. Whew!

Hey, maybe one of your new roomies can hook you up with a new job too! Gotta help pay the rent!
Anyway, I'm really happy you found a nice place to live in NYC. Looks good from the pictures. Are you allowed to invite friends over? We would love to check out your crib when we're there!
When do you move in? 'Cause you've got some explorin' to do--so you can show us around the 'hood!
I like the looks of the loft. Very chic! Now you can really be Sevinthecity!
Was in NY last week as a lay over from South Africa. Probably was there as you were just arriving (on the 6th). Almost decided to hang with Justin for the evening but sucked it up and make it home.
By the way, I just read your comments about my pictures from Africa. You F@%$ing crack me up!
