A fun weekend with my roommates

After a fun night with Keela, Jason and their friends (btw...we didn't get home until 3:00 am). I was invited by our other roommate, Kate (she is on the far right), to have brunch with her mom and her friend Paula at this great organic restaurant in Soho called "Spring Natural". Her mom, Barbara, who was so cool, is in NYC from North Carolina to spend time with Kate and then will be going upstate the rest of the week to spend time with her other daughter and her family. We all had a great time talking and just getting to know one another. Anyways, I just feel so blessed to have found 3 really great roommates who have welcomed me into their lives with such open hearts. I don't know if it's just an east coast thing, but all three of my roommates are from the east coast and they have been so friendly and welcoming. So certainly, whatever bad rap east coasts people have, as being rude and aggressive, has not been the case in my eyes, at least not yet. In fact, last night, almost all of Keela's friends welcomed me in the same way and I even exchanged contact information with a few of them. So it has been a wonderful weekend and like I've said before in a previous post, it is usually the people that make your experience...so far, mine has been great because of the company I keep (my NYC cousins included).
